The vocal ensemble beauty farm invites us on a journey of discovery with little-known masterpieces of the 15th century that show how amazingly full music for only three voices can sound. While Johannes Tinctoris (c. 1435-1511) is known today primarily as an important theorist, we know next to nothing about the composer Barbingant. His Missa Terriblement is presented here as a premiere recording. Based on the chanson of the same name, Barbingant - uniquely in music history - wove this chanson into all three voices of the mass.
