A vibrant new sound is buzzing into the Nordic folk landscape with the release of La Humla Suse, an imaginative collaboration between Trio no Treble and accordionist–composer Ronny Kjøsen. The album captures the warmth, drive, and joyful unpredictability of the bumblebee that inspired its title—music that hums, dances, and takes flight.

Kjøsen’s compositions form the heart of the project, blending rhythmic lift with lyrical storytelling. His accordion playing shifts effortlessly between delicate nuance and spirited virtuosity, giving the music a living, breathing character.

Trio no Treble—Marius Hølås, Eivind Rossbach Heier, and Jostein Bølås Brødreskift—brings a rich, resonant foundation to the collaboration. Their ensemble sound blends chamber‑music sensitivity with folk‑inspired groove, creating a flexible and expressive backdrop that allows each piece to unfold with color, clarity, and spontaneity.

The album also features a special guest appearance by vocalist Marit Løfaldli, whose contribution on one track adds a luminous vocal layer and expands the album’s expressive palette.
