Manze with Brahms on Vinyl
During recent years, Andrew Manze, who has led the NDR Radio Philharmonic of Hanover since the beginning of this season, has quickly recommended himself as the most inspired and exciting conductor of his generation. Accordingly, we too decided to release his wonderful interpretation of the complete Brahms symphonies on SACD (491856) and the positive resonance from the critics was not long in coming. The Neue Presse wrote: »Trained to perfection, sumptuous, energetic, young, wonderfully recorded: it is thus that we have fun with good old Brahms.« And Stereoplay 06 / 12 stated that »all of it is a feast for the ears and makes us hope that there will be further projects of similar caliber. Manze’s booklet essay is brilliant and stimulating; first-class too, the sound picture in this all-round enthralling production.« Now we are also offering vinyl fans the opportunity to enjoy Manze’s interpretation of Brahms’s Symphony No. 3.
