Francis Poulenc (1899–1963) er «one of a kind» blant 1900-tallets komponister. Han hentet inspirasjon fra århundrenes mange og varierte stilarter og blandet dem uanstrengt i sin musikk. Blir man først sjarmert av Poulencs skjønnhet og eleganse, er det få ting som kan erstatte hans musikk. Francis Poulenc (1899–1963) is one of a kind among 20th-century composers. He found his inspiration in many different styles over the centuries and melded them effortlessly into his music. 

 

 

Tine Thing Helseth er tilbake med en ny utgivelse – «Seraph» – denne gang i samspill med Ensemble Allegria. Helseth og Allegria har hatt et tett samarbeid i mange år, og sammen har de spilt på bl.a. Festspillene i Bergen, Nordlysfestivalen i Tromsø, Oslo Kammermusikkfestival og Hovedscenen på Operaen. Repertoaret på utgivelsen er mer og mindre kjente verker for trompet og strykeorkester av norske og utenlandske komponister, hvor de fire første er skrevet for denne besetningen, mens de tre siste er arrangert av Jarle Storløkken. Tine Thing Helseth is back with a new release – “Seraph” – this time together with Ensemble Allegria. Helseth and Allegria have had a close association for many years and have appeared together at the Bergen International Festival, the Northern Lights Festival in Tromsø, the Oslo Chamber Music Festival, and on the main stage at the Norwegian National Opera. This release features some familiar as well as lesser known works for trumpet and string orchestra by composers from Norway and abroad, with the first four written for this instrumentation, while the last three were arranged by Jarle Storløkken. 

 

 

Amalie Stalheim og Christian Ihle Hadland framfører verk for cello og piano av Igor Stravinskij, Francis Poulenc og Claude Debussy på sin duo-debututgivelse. For alle tre verkene på dette albumet er dialogen mellom cello og piano i sentrum. Essensielt for disse tre verkene er det å «snakke samme språk» som duopartneren, å tørre å være spontan og ikke være redd for å utfordre og stole på hverandre. For all three pieces on this album, dialogue between cello and piano is at the center. Essential for these three pieces is to speak the same language as your duo partner, to dare to be spontaneous and not be afraid to challenge and trust in each other.
